Syringe Inspection
VIMEC has multiple systems for full and complete (dimensional & cosmetic) syringe inspection. The inspection system is delivered as a 'turn-key' solution and can be integrated onto most production lines. Typical hot-end inspection for syringes includes measurements such as: Cone diameter (at specific heights) · Eccentricity Cone · Drilling height · Head height.
Typical cold-end inspection for syringes includes measurements such as: Flange diameters · Flange thickness · Eccentricity flange · Body length · Total length · Eccentricity Cone.
Visual inspection applications used for vial inspection include: Cressida (dimensional and cosmetic) & Metis (Print inspection and verification).
Syringe inspection
VIMEC has a complete range of syringe inspection applications. Apart from the Cressida and Metis systems that are used for Hot-End and Cold-End inspection (dimensional, cosmetic and printing inspection), inspection systems for the syringe including needle (assembly) are also available.
Cressida | Hot-End inspection
VIMEC has developed dedicated hot-end modules for syringe inspection and production monitoring. Syringe production lines are often customized lines and require specific inspection systems. A general hot end system is shown here, customized hot-end systems are available (indexed and non indexed lines, horizontal or vertical production). The systems have been designed to keep maintenance time limited even in an oil rich environment.
Typical hot-end inspection for syringes includes measurements such as: Cone diameter (at specific heights) · Eccentricity Cone · Drilling height · Head height.
Cressida | General
Cressida is an visual inspection machine that inspect syringes on dimensional and cosmetic aspects. This includes dimensional measurements such as: Flange diameters · Flange thickness · Eccentricity flange · Body length · Total length · Eccentricity Cone · Length and width of drilling. >>. Cosmetic defects include: Cracks · Airlines · Inclusions · Stones · Glass particles >>. The complete system is used during
* Forming process (hot-end)
* Quality control (before packing, cold-end)
Additionally, the print on the syringes can be checked to ensure the expiry date, scale, and numbers are present and correct.
