One of A Kind Technologies is one of the eight FD New Champions 2017
The nominations are public: the eight finalists of the new edition of the New Champions 2017, an annual search for young, innovative companies with growth potential, initiated by the Dutch Financial news paper FD.
Companies with at least a turnover of 5 milion Euro that have the potential to change the world, driven by Innovation and work with disruptive technologies.
“Where are thew new ASML’s?” is the question raised by the newspaper.
Of the eight FD New Champions, four are based in the Eindhoven region, and so is One of A Kind Technologies.
We are proud to receive this recognition already, says Alex Kind, CEO and Founder of the group.
In the attached article that was published in the FD, the company is complimented for its entrepreneurship, and ability to grow small hgh-tech companies with hidden value in a sustainable manner. That performance is not a given and requires investing, taking risk and hard work.
Other aspects that are highlighted is the stimulation of diversity and authenticity within the team, values that are key within One of A Kind Technologies.
From a technology perspective, the group works at groundbreaking developments in the areas of machine vision, robotics, mechatronics and machine learning. The company develops robots that recognize vegetables and organic products (such as cucumbers, tomatoes, tulips, sweet peppers) with self learning algorithms enabling them to harvest, sort and package them in a more efficient way 24/7.
Besides efficiency and increased quality, the data generated by these systems becomes more and more valuable. It facilitates customers to track & trace its products and to perform predictive measures targeted at preventive maintenance as well as with regards to forecasted revenues. A grower knows immediately how many vegetables he can harvest in three days from now and is able to sell them in advance.
The group is proud of its colleagues, customers and partners and at the same time has just started. The coming years we will expand with new companies, offices and disruptive innovations. This will happen in parallel of the development and enabling of new talent.

Bedrijven met een minimumomzet van vijf miljoen euro welke de potentie hebben om de wereld te veranderen, staan voor innovatie en werken aan disruptieve technologie.
“Waar zitten de nieuwe ASML’s?” is de vraag die wordt gesteld door het FD.
Van de acht FD Nieuwe Kampioenen komen er vier uit de regio Eindhoven, en zo ook One of A Kind Technologies.

In bijgevoegd artikel wat in het FD verscheen, wordt het bedrijf geroemd voor haar ondernemerschap en dat zij erin geslaagd is kleinere high-tech ondernemingen met verborgen waarde sterk te laten groeien en floreren. Dat is geen sinecure, vergt risico nemen, investeren en hard werken.
Het andere aspect dat naar voren komt is het bevorderen van diversiteit en authenticiteit binnen het personeelsbestand, deze waarden staan hoog in het vaandel bij One of A Kind Technologies.
Qua technologie werkt de groep aan verschillende baanbrekende ontwikkelingen op vlak van machine vision, robotica, mechatronica en machine learning. Zo ontwikkelde het bedrijf robots die middels zelf lerende algoritmen organische producten zoals vruchten (komkommers, paprika’s, tulpen, tomaten) en gewassen kan herkennen om ze efficienter en 24/7 te oogsten, sorteren en verpakken.
Naast efficiëntie en verhoogde kwaliteit, wordt de data die deze systemen oplevert steeds waardevoller. Het stelt klanten in staat hun producten te track & tracen, en voorspellingen te doen over onderhoud en opbrengsten. Zo weet de teler vandaag hoeveel komkommers hij over drie dagen kan oogsten en dus nu al kan verkopen.
Het bedrijf is trots op haar medewerkers, klanten en partners en geeft tegelijkertijd aan pas net begonnen te zijn.
De komende jaren zullen we verder uitbreiden met nieuwe bedrijven, vestigingen en disruptieve innovaties.
Dit gaat hand in hand met het verder ontwikkelen en laten floreren van talent.
