Inspection system Orion

The Orion system has been designed to inspect stemware products on cosmetic and dimensional aspects. Image capturing is established through multiple viewing angles, ensuring a complete and correct image. Required lighting is fulfilled with custom-made LED-panels and advanced power-controls to obtain different lighting patterns.

Stemware comes in many different sizes and shapes and we know that one customer is more demanding than the other. To anticipate on this, we made the Orion software easily configurable for a new type of stemware through the User Interface. All imaging hardware is positioned using motion control to accommodate to the glass height and respective rim height. Multiple preset height adjustments can be stored in the system.

The best location to install Orion is close to the forming process. Not only will this provide faster feedback to your controls, but -since the glasses are still in sequence of production- you benefit from traceability to the forming process.
